Why I love teaching furniture painting techniques

​There are many, many things I love about the work I now do, and I feel incredibly blessed to be spending my time helping others discover how easy furniture painting is. 

​One of the things I love the most is showing people just how quick, and easy it is, to totally transform their furniture. In every single class I have taken, and it's about 40 workshops now, we get to about halfway through and I get comments like, "Wow, it's so easy!", or "Gosh, I didn't realise it was so simple."

This is what I just LOVE! I love the fact that I can help people not only learn the skills, but they can then go and create beautiful pieces in their homes, for very little cost.

As part of every workshop I run, we do a walk around of my home and I talk about the furniture I have done and the processes I have used. At this point, I can see everyone's mind ticking over as they think about what they have at home that they can paint. I love this part too! It's such a delight to see their faces lighting up.

So, why am I writing this blog post? 

If you've been thinking about painting your furniture, please do it - It's way easier than you think!

Part of my plan this year is to take my workshops to other New Zealand towns and cities, starting with Pukekohe in April and Hamilton in May.
